We are delighted to announce that the Derrynane Inshore Rescue Services (“DIRS”) was selected as one of the 10 main beneficiaries of the 2017 Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle (“ROKCC”).
The ROKCC, now in its 34th year, is the biggest one day charity fundraising event in Ireland, attracting over 10,000 leisure cyclists, completing the 112 mile challenge across the spectacular Ring of Kerry, while at the same time fundraising for worthy charities.
We are truly humbled to be chosen as one of the 10 main beneficiaries again and our participation this year will allow DIRS to activate phase 2 of our upgrade plans. Phase 1 is already under way with the refurbishment of our rescue boat, “Aghamore II”, progressing well with sea trials scheduled over the next few weeks.
The registration process for 2017 has changed compared to previous years. All cyclists will now be required to register online with 10,000 places available from Saturday 25th February
where they can select their preferred beneficiary charity. A basic donation of €100 plus a 3.5% handling fee guarantees your place on the cycle for 2017,
